Who this covers
This policy explains how MJAK LLC, doing business as PouchPicks ("PouchPicks," "we," "us"), handles information collected through pouchpicks.com. PouchPicks is an information site, not a store: we don't take orders or payments.
Information we collect
- Newsletter signups — your email address, your first name if you give it, and where on the site you signed up (for example the pop-up or footer), if you choose to subscribe.
- Device & browser storage — we use your browser's local storage to remember your age-gate confirmation, your cookie choice, your comparison list, recently viewed products, and whether you've seen or dismissed the newsletter pop-up. This stays on your device.
- Analytics — if you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful, including which retailer links are clicked. It only loads after you accept our cookie banner; if you decline, no analytics script runs and no analytics data is collected. We don't currently run advertising trackers.
- Server logs — our hosting providers record technical details of each request, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, for security and operations.
- Communications — anything you send us by email or a form.
Retailers you click through to
When you click a retailer link, you leave our site. The retailer, and the affiliate network that tracks the click, may set their own cookies and collect data under their own privacy policies. We don't receive your name, address or payment details. The network reports to us that a sale happened and the commission earned, along with the page the click came from, not information that identifies you.
How we use it
- To run and improve the site and understand which content is useful
- To send newsletters you've opted into, which you can unsubscribe from at any time
- To keep the site secure and enforce our Terms of Use
- To meet legal obligations
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary to run the site:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers, who process requests and store data on our behalf
- Our email provider, to deliver newsletters you've subscribed to
- Google Analytics, if you accept cookies, solely to understand site traffic
- Regulators or other authorities, where the law requires it
Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your choices & rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can unsubscribe from newsletters at any time using the link in them. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act — contact us to exercise any of these.
Children's privacy
PouchPicks is restricted to adults 21 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21, and we'll delete any such information if we become aware of it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices change. We'll update the date at the top of this page when that happens.
